I already submitted my RAVS®, what is RAVS® Plus?

RAVS®, JJ Safety, ISNetworld

I know the feeling. You’ve worked hard for the last few weeks. You have written and submitted every single safety program to ISNetworld® specifications. You have completed  awareness level training sessions with your workers  and uploaded the training documentation. You have worked tirelessly with the insurance agent to get the correct verbiage evidenced on your certificate of insurance, gathered your EMR, other regulatory documents, and you have  even submitted your w-9 in the general documents section. Just when you think you’re all done you see one more item that has been added. RAVS® PLUS! What is this new requirement?

Did this happen to you? If so, not to worry. JJ Safety has you covered. We help companies like yours complete RAVS® Plus audits, Avetta’s Implementation Audit, and the Veriforce Desktop Audit. We are familiar with these types of audits you will encounter when dealing with platforms like ISNetworld®, Avetta®, Veriforce and many others.

I’ve already submitted so many things, why do I have to go through an audit now?

There are many reasons why your company has been chosen to complete an enhanced version of the ‘desktop’ audit you’ve already passed. Maybe an incident occurred on a hiring client job site, maybe it’s a general requirement required for all contractors working for a specific client, or it could be that your TRIR or some other performance indicator isn’t quite up to par. Whatever the reason, there are a few things you will want to have in place before you’re ready to submit for review.

  1. OSHA Basics – be prepared to provide a copy of your Safety Manual and/or written programs
  2. Be prepared to show where your federal and state labor law posters are displayed
  3. Expect that they will ask about your OSHA 300 and 300A logs.
  4. Prepare to provide documentation of safety training, safety meetings, job hazard analysis, incident investigation reports, quality management system documentation and  equipment and/or vehicle inspection documents.
  5. Coach your employees to prepare them to answer questions about policies and processes to assess their knowledge.
  6. Be prepared for everything

This is just an estimation of what could be asked of you. Every audit is different, and we assess each one on a case-by-case basis.

How Can We help With All This?

JJ Safety will help you prepare all documentation prior to your RAVS® Plus audit.

We’ll ensure you’re prepared for your audit and we will be available to help complete any adjustments needed after the audit.

I Didn’t Pass My Audit!

Most of these auditors will conduct the audit via teleconference or web conference. If you don’t pass the audit after the first review, don’t worry – it  is not uncommon for auditors to require additional documentation after the first review. They typically give you more time to make updates and changes, corrections, adjustments, or revisions before the final review.

Whether you’re dealing with ISNetworld®, Avetta or Veriforce, we have the experience and knowledge to help you succeed!
