Ok so what is this still…
What this comes down to is that hiring companies that are looking for contractors like yourself are offloading the work of making sure you are up to par with your safety to another company. In this case it’s ISN®.
Let’s break it down a little more.
So for example…
A company that has 200 contractors they need to keep track of.
I’m talking about certificates of insurance, safety programs, documents specific for going on the job site, training, and your osha logs. All of these documents these types of companies need to make sure are up to to date constantly and are really implemented in your business.
This hiring company made a decision to allow a 3rd party system to help vet their contractors for them.

Well the hard truth is that your client or potential client requires it. They typically will not do business with you unless you are on this platform and have a passing grade.

There are some circumstances though you might not need to sign up, but this will be at the discretion of your customer.

- Insurance certificates (COI)
- Safety programs that pass standards
- Training documentation
- OSHA 300 Logs
- EMR (experience modification rate)
- Complete a questionnaire that is about 1000-2000 questions
Not only do you have to submit these items but they need to pass and be approved. They need to meet all requirements your client has set forth.
